IC help

I personally do not believe this to be worth it - a well designed intercooler, with properly placed inlets and outlets, will be just as good.  And as for the "hot spots", I think the WRX is a slightly special case being that the IC is placed over top the engine.  I've never had hot spots in a normal front mount IC (probe, audi, isuzu, and powerstroke ICs used).
You may gain hp from this setup, but I would think you would gain much more from a front mount.  And I would NEVER use a dual inlet for any of VWs 4-cylinders.  They say there's a smaller pressure drop in the intercooler, but what do you think happens when the line splits from one to two BEFORE the intercooler?  I would imagine there's a pressure drop there.
