Flew out wednesday to Austin, TX, left at 3:30 pm MST, arrived home, 9:30AM Thursday morning!!!
Corrado TDI is home....and NEVER EVER will I drive through Texas again...they have NIGHT TIME speed limits of 65....LAME. Oh, and, you can drive for 10 hours straight, and STILL be in that damn state....
Rain, sleet, slush, snow and ice were all to be had on the trip, Corrado performed flawlessly....effortlessly hits 100+, and cruises at 80 getting 45mpg doing it. I friggin love this car, and I hate the fact I won't get to drive it every day. However, it gives me renewed vigor for the Scirocco TDI project...and oh holy hell will that Scirocco be fast...if this Corrado is ANY indication of a TDIs performance potential!!!
