Should plug gap increase with performance?



>From what I have seen/experienced, this depends purely on what mods you have 
on your car...  

For example, on a turbo T4 engine, the best set-up we could find wasa Jacobs 
ignition system, and 930 spark plugs...  Interersting thing about those plugs, 
they have no center electrode about the ceramic...  In other words, no 
ground.  The spark has to go from the body to the center by itself...  We 
found that this is the best set-up for a blown car(in this case, bus)...  

On the other hand, if you are burning oil, I have found that going one range 
hotter and decreasing the gap to help immensely with fouling...

I guess, what I am asking here is what have you done with your car?  That 
should give us something to work through to answer your question...
