Cleaning an oil-soaked carpet?

1. get greeze lightning or purple power from autozone and cut it down with water (see description on bottle how to use it.
2. home depot, get a carperting depart cleaner and use a hand brush (what I did) and it works pretty good.

Guys,

Got two quarts of gone explodo on some carpeting. All pretty much in a
2' diameter area. I yanked the carpeting and would like to save it if
possible. What is the best way of cleaning it? My lord, it stinks. I
think I have oil permanently imbedded in my nostrils.

I can ditch the padding mat, no problem (and think they sell that crap
aftermarket?. It's the carpeting that I want to keep.

Thanks,
Phil Kerschner
