Vibration = tranny?



It isnt the cages that are the problem with remans. Its the case hardening 
of the races. Reman joints have oversized balls (now, now, we are talking 
about car parts here ;) and in order to accomodate the oversized balls the 
races have to be machined larger. There isnt any treatment done to the metal 
during or after this process to harden the races. Thats why they fail so 
often.

All that said; if there is a good reman out there. Its probably so good that 
it looks like OE and I just serviced it like I would any normal axle.

Maybe Im just sayin to be careful out there. You never know what kind of 5yo 
boy made your reman axle unless you do some research. :)
