OT: sighting -Saab in Steamboat: attn. Dan

Hmm, that doesn't sound too bad. Old saabs being relatively rare, the mechanic told me he'd have to drop the tranny, inspect the whole thing, yadda yadda. It'll be awhile before I have the money to get all the clutch parts, but if and when I do, it's getting sold as soon as it's running, heck with the HG. I got my eye on a scirocco that's been for sale here for ages, which was one of the reasons I was considering parting the Saab as the scirocco is $700 obo and I think I could get a good bit of that out of the parts.

Simply pull the shaft out of the clutch, remove the sprocket and there it
is, ready to be changed. In fact if the radiator had a hole in it for the
