Is "track" measured from tire outside to outside?

Track is from the center of the tire to the center of the tire. Changing
your wheel offset will change track. Different wheel width with the same
offset doesn't effect track.

I personally think the MK I will accomodate a wider rear track. How much
probably depends on the width of rim/tire before you start hitting the
fender.

Dan-always willing to turn up the heat-not saying how much ;^)
