=>The after-run circuits I have seen on 8V cars have a temperature sensor
=>mounted on a bracket in between the cylinder head cover and the intake
=>manifold. The sensor is open to air - not in the water jacket.
=>
=>CIS cars use a 110C switch that's blue, digifant uses a 100C
=>switch that's
=>yellow, and TurboDiesels use a 115C switch that's white. Corrados with
=>after-run use a 90C switch (blue again - thanks VW)
=>
=>I've been looking at available temperature switches to control my low
=>speed fan on the rad (to draw more air through the I/C) and possibly to
=>control an IC misting system as well, in case you were wondering why I
=>have all these temps and colours handy... :)
=>
=>
=>Does this help answer your question at all? I haven't had a cup of
=>coffee yet, so I may have missed the mark... :)
