Fw: how do you identify shricks *rant*

no fucking way...they should be in there. I told you I had the entire
engine rebuilt. If those bastards at the shop didn't reinstall the
orig schrick exhaust cam..that was the only one he put in I believe,
then I can probably bet it's long gone thrown away by the shop. And
yep I sure did 'strip' down the rieger before I sold it. I listed exactly
what was and wasn't on the car when I sold it for so little. The coil
overs were completely ruined, all four were rusted to hell, you can ask
the guy that bought my G60 81-S, The rear eye-bolts were so freaking
locked onto the bottom of the strut that I had to remove the entire
rear axel, and so with it went the rear sway bar. The rotors were shot to
hell and the brake lines rusted. You can't imagine what kind of rusted
shitty condition that car was in when I got it from Howard, and the ammount
of money and time I put into it to get it running top notch. I put all those
parts on my G60 just so the frame would roll, you would have had to replace
them anyways so yeah I read below you realized that, maybe not to the
extent because you didn't see the car when I first got it, only after I
spent a lot of time and money getting that engine to run right, hell I even
replaced the interior parts like GOOD seats, excellent condition rear
inside rear seat panels, those 17" rims that were on the car were ALL LEAKING
air, they wouldn't hold pressure for more than 3 days. the rear tires were
retreads and the fronts were bald!!! I didn't feel like spending another
$800 on rubber when I had those perfectly good, brand spanking new 15"
chrome rims custom made for the rieger kit with brand new yoko avs/int
all around that I put on the green rieger before I sold it to you. SO I
kept the 17"s in hopes of spending another $600 repairing them later
because I did have a use for them.

I asusme you've done the math before but here it is again.
Cost to build a Rieger from scratch $9,000
what I paid to Howard for the car $4,500, and that was with all the
above parts shot to hell and before the complete engine rebuild and
before all the other misc things that I put on there new like gas tank,
dist, interior, etc.
..and..what did you pay me...yeah that's what I thought.

I am truely sorry about the cam, I don't have the exhaust cam, I didn't
ever sell it, I haven't even owned a 16v or any parts anymore pertainging
to a 16v since I sold you that car. I assumed the orig cams were installed
back in the new head that was installed. If you want to call VW underground
in Austin and see if they still have the head (highly unlikely) go for it.

People know me on this list, well, those that have been around for more than
just a few years, Meze, Collins, Potterman, Witt, etc all know I am a damn
honest person and never, EVER misrepresent anything I've ever sold. I've
never made a profit on any car or part I've ever sold, I sell things only
when I have no more room or interest in them anymore, even if the engine
was just completely freaking rebuilt 200 miles ago like that Rieger that
I sold to you.

So please don't be pissed at me. I'm glad to see the car being loved and
cared for, (well I dunno about that black hood, if that's your style ;) )
but I never ever once tried to screw you or anyone over by misrepresenting
anything I've ever sold. I never schemed to strip and redistribute parts
because of above reasons, I hope you can see this is what really went down.
If you have any doubt, call up the guy that bought the G60. He should be
able to confirm the rusted piece of shit condition ALL of those so called
goodies that I removed from that car, sure they prob work, they held the
car together while I was working on it, and maybe he spent time and money
reconditioning the parts, maybe not, I dunno that was just my assessment
of the parts. I sold the 81-S for the perfectly rust free body, freshly
prepped and installed G60 with stage 3, a custom port and polished G-ladder
with new seals/strips/bearings, and a boat load of other new parts, The
complete Corrado interior, and 17" rims, plus the not so bonus of those
'so called goodies' that I removed from the ailing Rieger.

Please don't rant about me on this list if you have a problem you're not
fully aware of the situation, it embarasses you and me, and causes me to
write public defense letters like this one just to maintain my integrity.
