Water pump....questions

Regarding the now infamous electric water pump, the Cheapass wrote:

Ah, well let me get this thing in my hands and into my car first. So far all
my comments are based on theory plus commendations from fellow racers. *I*
haven't yet proven to myself that this thing works. I can't wait to see that
it does, though! :^)
