 mine's about to be. over the winter i plan on pulling the motor and swapping in a 2l from a passat. oughta be kinda slow going since i don't have a lot of $$$. interestingly enough the guy i bought my 16v from has three in his garage that are in various states of resto. one black one thats up on jack stands, no motor, suspension, exhaust, etc.. healso had another red '87 (looks almost exactly like mine) that's a roller but needs a new motor ( slipping timing belt). and the third is a red '88 that he just pulled the motor on and is swapping a 2l into.
