semi OT - Lame bodywork question

My error. I should have state that properly prepared steel will not =
rust under bondo....

It will. I had an '87 8v 'rocco that had been hit &
bondoed long before I bought it, and it was starting to
come through the paint. Moot point, I mashed the other
side real bad into a Nissan Sentra and totalled the car.
