What offset do I need for 17x7.5 wheels to fit on 16v.

the rims are 40mm et and they do touch the strut assembly on the front,
haven't tried the rear yet, but I do have a bit of camber in the front, if I
were to reduce the camber I think it would fit...

if I had 5mm spacers all 'round would I touch the fenders on the outside?
this is what I would like to do...

btw I'll be having custom hubcentric spacers made as the hub diameter on the
rims is much larger than the 16v hubs 66.6mm vs 57.1mm ?

so what would you recomend? 3,4,5,6mm can be anything really...

Thanks.
