Ryan-
  I have no means to supply a photo, but can tell you what is on my 16V;
Directly below the main connector stud, there are two smaller studs. =
The first of the smaller studs, the one in the middle, has a wire =
connected to it that runs into the same cable cover as the main cable. =
The third (lowest) stud has a wire connected to it (brown wire) which =
goes to the AC compressor (in my case). I believe a brown wire usually =
indicates a ground, so if you do not have AC, it may go to a chassis or =
engine grounding point.
hope this helps.

  Subject: Alternator install question...

  I got a new alternator for my 16V because my old one was shot, and =
since I had the old one off, I returned it for a core refund before =
installing the new one... but now I think I might have needed to take =
something off the old one. Is there a wire that runs along the side of =
the alternator at several points (not including any connections)? Can =
anyone provide a pic of their (90 amp) alternator, on the connection =
side.  Thanks.
