Car Books



I do not agree on this one...

Pintos:
rear solid axle and leaf springs with front coils, shock absorber combo.
(just like they did it in the '40s, or a 2001 Camaro for that matter)

A1s:
rear twist beam, with front macpherson setup. (inovative in the '70s)

By 2002 standards, a Scirocco is outdated, but if you compare it to a Pinto,
or any american car from the '70s, it is years ahead.

That's a valid point, Joe. Keep in mind, though, that our suspensions aren't
any newer than those "laughably old" Pintos and such. Heh...
