I am ABSOLUTELY not picking on you Dan but I have to question the 928 V8
comment. I don't know anything about the 512CI motor but in all my years
working on European cars I've never seen a problem with the 928 V8s? I know
all cars have their problems but the 928s I have worked on didn't have
mechanical engine problems and I never heard of any type of "problem" with
the motors. I also recall that the powerplants in those cars are HOT items
for older hotrods. In other words, people who build the older 40's and 50's
cars are crazy about the motor because of it's lightweight and great power
potential (not to mention the clean look). So what type of problems were
there? They still sell like hot cakes for big bucks all over (the nice ones
anyway).
