Battery

i had an autocraft with like 450 cca and it wouldnt start my car one morning when it was really cold, so i put in an optima red top with 800 cca and it started fine.  i am going to move it to the trunk for weight distribution purposes though.

Can anyone tell me if i can stick a battery in my car with bigger cranking
amps than the standard battery, if so how much bigger can i go?
