16v 2.0l engine, N/A stats??



i like this idea. i had actually toyed around with downgrading my 90a alt 
for the same reason, but was unsure if the gains (if any) would be offset by 
poor charging. i don't think the spark should be affected (though i'm not 
sure on this), the coil is already boosting the 14v to a much higher value 
anyway.  remember how those coil-boosters (forget who makes them) actually 
causes a loss of hp in the dyno numbers i've seen. that makes me think that 
this isn't a big problem in a stock system.  scott, i'd be interested in 1) 
how you're planning to do this, and 2) some dyno numbers with and without 
the alt mod (obviously, with that being the only variable changed between 
runs).
