Hi out there in scirocco land.  My name is John and I
am new to the list.  I just wanted to introduce myself
although I probably met many of you last year in
cincy.  I was driving Scott Krauses white Scirocco
with navigation and 17's.  I have owned many
Scirocco's ;81 S, 2 87 16v's with leather , 90 Corrado
, 89 Maxima and a 1952 Dodge power wagon.  I sold my
81 S years ago and still regret it to this day.  Then
I bought a 16v which I drove for years until I finally
got fed up with putting tranny's and engines into and
then I sort of traded it to Scott as partial payment
for the Corrado.  That is what I will be driving this
summer once I piece the motor back together with a
T3-T4 turbo.  I was running 19 psi and burned the
rings.  In the meanwhile I found a good deal on a rice
burner and it is the current mode of transportation. 
I want to get another Scirocco and I would like to
know if anyone knows of or has an 82 Callaway turbo in
any condition so long as the body is straight and rust
free.  If I can get a hold of this before cincy I
might just drive it there.  If you can help I would
really appreciate it.  Thanks  John
