Get some carb clean and clean the butterly and then get some good cable lube (WD40 sucks) and soak the cable.

On cold mornings after being on the highway for say 10-15 minutes the throttle is sticking. Sticks pretty good too as if you push the clutch in it revs to like 5k. I sprayed the top of the throttle body where the throttle cable connects with WD-40 and it still does it. In fact did it this morning. I don't think its the cable sticking as even if I put my foot under the gas pedal and pull up nothing happens. Only thing I can think of is the butterfly thing inside the throttle body is sticking open? Anyone have anything like this happen and solve it? Thanks,ChrisP.S. Sorry about the Non-Scirocco content. That car is doing fine and not attempting to kill me by accelerating uncontrollably.
