I am one of the people that suggested the MC of a 1990 G60 corrado because
the specs being identical to the 16v (well almost), but the cost being about
40$ cheaper on a new MC versus the 16v one. And Scott Williams can confirm
how well they work on an 8v MKII :)

You can use a Corrado G-60 MC or a 16V unit (I forgot, someone on the list 
will be able to tell you the difference, I went with the 16V unit)...you 
can even use a Porsche 944Turbo (25mm) unit if you like (Ruben runs one of 
these).
