SOT-in my mail-recall notice

Well, the dealers around here can be rather informal about record keeping, 
so the odds that any of my previous "non MAF" diagnostics are on record are 
nil, I didn't buy any parts to generate a bill, right? I'll check old bills 
for "lack of power", there never was a CEL for that issue.

Where do I go? I live an hour from any major centre, 20 minutes from work 
(or an hour from my night job), 15 from the nearest town. And if you have a 
TDI in the family, it gets to do ALL the long hauls, while the gassers stay 
home.  And driving is the main reason to buy a TDI. Heck, if I hadn't racked 
up the miles I have on the 16V, it'd be about 30.000km more. Add that in? 
36,000 kms a year, (converted to hours at 100 kph, that's 30 12 hour days!)  
so in no time I'd be off that wimpy recall. The mileage limit is clearly 
stated in the letter. So yeah, I drive quite a bit.
