Hmmm, sounds like we need to start searching old posts first!  Adding my 2 cents, I used a saws-all instead of a hack saw.  I also got a old bad mount from the vw dealer.  I used it like a spacer to get everything lined up a little better when I pressed it in.  You'll have so much stuff off, you may as well do the time belt too.  8v time - 90 minutes going slow, 16v time is more (like all 16v things). :^)
