vibration/shudder at 70 - possible alternatives (other than wheelbalance?)

I had a new '88 Integra back in the day that had a similar problem right 
from new.  I had it back at the stealership several times, they kept 
rebalancing the wheels to no avail.  About 3 years and 60k miles later,
when I'd long since gotten used to just living with it, I mentioned it 
in passing to a mechanic who said he'd fix the fucker.. first theory was 
motor mount-related, that didn't pan out.  Turned out to be a bad CV 
joint.  It was amazing to drive the car w/o the problem after not 
knowing it any other way.
