intermitent oil light?

My car had that problem, but it was only over 2000 rpm. My problem was a
wiring one after checking oil pressure against listed values. A cheap
autozone oil pressure gauge temporarily plugged in over the oil cooler
helped with that. After grounding the sensor responsible for that, I have
no problem 2years and 20,000 miles later.

Not to be the pessimist, but I think heavily worn bearings can cause a drop
in oil pressure too. Perhaps using an oil pressure guage could help you
narrow the problem?

OT: has anybody had a problem with those black VW oil filters? I put one
on my 8v and the O-ring above the cooler blew in short order.

Thanks
Dan
