How much damage will this really do?



If the struts are actually bad, it won't directly
damage anything, but you're far more likely to lose
control of the vehicle.

If money is a big issue, I would at least get some
inexpensive replacement struts/shocks and install
them. A good cheap strut is far better than a blown
expensive one. Monroe or similar should be very
cheap...maybe $20 a corner? The rear shocks are pretty
easy to replace yourself. The front struts aren't too
difficult either, but a bit more work. The only
remaining issue is that you'll need an alignment after
doing the fronts...
