=>I'm just saying if you're using a turbo then you can get more than
=>enough power from the 1.8 JH if you have fuel and ignition right to make
=>more power than a Scirocco can reasonably use. So, in this case having a
=>2.0 isn't mandatory the way it is with an NA engine.

The 2L is not mandatory, but why just have a 1.8L turbo, when you can have a
2L Turbo 8v that will produce probably close to 250-300 HP ?

=>It is my understanding that the stock ABA piston can be machined to
=>lower compression to 9.2 for use in a forced induction engine.

Hum, I am not keen on "shaving pistons" I believe that getting forged
pistons or a dished set would be more appropriate, especially if you are
going to run more than 15 PSI in your system. Modifying the head of a piston
can get tricky, and way too easy to make a mistake and pay for it with a
blown engine, why cut cost on such an important part of the engine, when you
have spent so much $$ on Electrical, and Mechanical Mods.
