here's the skinny on the car:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?&id=553916&postid=4882090#4882090
i talked to the guy who does my glass and he said he could get me a new windshield installed for $100. if it runs as good as he says it does from our phone coversation i'm going to buy it as at least a winter car, and if everything is everything with it will probably do some resto. work to it in the spring.
