(ot) i got a car dolly!

Allyn, you don't want to do this, honest. 10 to 15% of the trailer weight
needs to be down on the towing vehicle for the trailer to handle properly.
That's simply too much for a Rocco. Steerable trailers sound good in theory
but just don't work. You have probably seen the farmers hay wagons swaying
behind their tractors haven't you? That's what it will do unless there is so
much toe that the tires will be gone before you reach New Jersey. The double
big rigs can do this because they are putting 10 to 15% of the trailer
weight on the lead trailer. Besides, you would need a commercial drivers
license with a doubles endorsement to drive this rig and then there is the
problem of not being able to drive it off of the interstates that allow them
and it can't be backed up. The Cummins pick-up idea has merit, a long roll
back and you can take all three vehicles in comfort. I'm currently driving a
'93 Dodge (POS) and it is a good tow vehicle. The best tow vehicle I've ever
had was a Suburban. My dream tow... a Suburban dually with the Cummins and
the four speed Allison auto. Ah dreams...
