i had the same problem with my audi coupe a few months ago. I never =
reallyt did figure our exactly what was wrong, sometimes it acted like =
it was starving for fuel and other times at a part load condition it =
would start bucking and missing like crazy. I ended up changing my WOT =
switch and repairing the harness to the throttle plate position sensor. =
it hasn't happened since

About three months ago I replaced my control preasure regulator with a =
used unit becouse I had a hell of a time getting the car to warm up on =
cold mornings. The new/used cpr fixed the cold starting problem but =
shortly after installation I encountered a sporadic high speed =
"governor" at around 4000 rpms. recently the problam has worsened so I =
switched back to the old cpr tonight, the problem remained and possibly =
worsened. I'm on my second autozone transfer pump and I'm pretty sure =
it's not the culprit, I know what bad transfer pumps feel like and this =
is not it (I'll probably end up eating crow later) The main pump is a =
junk yard bosch from a bunny. I replaced the cap and rotor tonight as =
well with no change.
The fuel filter has around 3k on it and the problem existed before and =
after it's replacement.
I'm thinking it's a bad main pump, fuel distributor issue, or some =
weirdness with the ignition system.

  please smother me with responses

  Anson 86 8V

where is the best (read cheapest) place to get bosch pumps?
