hood alignment

Lisa,

Here is my reply to Rob Cotner:

"Rob, in both front corners of the hood (MKI and MKII) there is a black
rubber bumper. It sounds to me like one of yours is off on a side trip some
where. These rubber bumpers are threaded and that is how the adjustment is
accomplished. Turn it out to raise the hood or in to lower it. Just remember
that the latch will quite likely need a little adjustment after raising one
side 1/2"."

If you need adjustment at the hinge side, there is a little bit of slop in
the hinge/hood bolts. However there is very little adjustment in the
direction that you are looking for. This adjustment is meant for the forward
/ backward alignment.

I'd suggest that you have the wrong strut brace. Maybe you know a competent
welder who could section it for you or just get the right one.

Good luck.
