ABA & 16V head?

Yes, change the oil pump, intermediate shaft, crank timing pulley, oil pump
drive gear and distributor hole block off plate for 2.0 16v units. Then you
have 8.0:1 compression for your new 16v motor and on top of that you have to
clearance the pistons so they don't smack the valves.

That being said, you can also rebush the rods for 2.0 16v wrist pins, add
2.0 16v pistons and get back to 9.2:1 compression, add a Garret T3 and make
a great turbo motor.

Subject: ABA & 16V head?

I was just wondering if anyone on the list had installed a 1.8 16V head
onto a 2L ABA block?

And if so, how much "customization" was needed.

Thanks
