WTB: Reverse light switch

Just wondering do you know how to apply a VW with the
new switch on an older transmission with the old
switch.  My 84 Scirocco has an FF tranny from 1980 and
I think my reverse light plug that is unplugged looks
different from the plug on the tranny.
