putting cabriolet body kit on a rabbit

US Rabbit fenders are differnt from Cabriolet fenders because German
Golf1/Cabrios had round headlights in the grille and side markers on the
fender in front of the wheel. US Rabbits have square headlights (how much
uglier can a car get than to have single 5x7" sealed beams?) with
side/turn assemblies in the corner of the grille and fender. There's a
cut-out in the fender to accomodate this.

In theory the body kit should fit as it only involes fender flares,
rockers and front and rear spoiler, which likely weren't any different
between the two cars.
