Insane speed in german cars... slightly OT, had to share...



The information is great, and I really mean that but the accusations can be
canned now.  I realize some people need to have science to back everything
up but sometimes it's just not as easy to prove real life happennings.  My
car had a LOT of suspension and body stiffening devices on it plus it had
parts that were more aerodynamic (I don't know how much difference it made,
never rented a wind tunnel).  I don't think the .42 (wherever that came
from) is applicable to my car plus I would trust an older Rabbit for higher
speeds and all around toughness before an MK2 Scirocco which seem to have
problems with heavy breakage under any serious power (the unibody
construction that is).  So, Mr. Spock, maybe you should go to the AOL chat
rooms then and apply your physics there.
