intake "cyclone generator" (was RE: scott)



I've seen those things too... I'd have to agree with Scott on this one.

The only benefit I could think of from one of these windmills is that by
swirling the air you would reduce laminar flow at the boundaries of the
intake pipe, which theoretically should increase the volume of air taken in
to the engine.

But I still think it's all snake oil!
