removal of fenders



i've never owned an mkI, but on the mkII's the fenders are glued on. i 
suspect that is your problem. get a heat gun or a blow dryer(hairdryer) and 
heat up the glue, then pull the fender off. sounds easier then done, but 
it's the best way i've found.
