OXS Light is on... Whatever does it mean?

OXS Light is on... Whatever does it mean?Your other post mentiond a '84 =
8v so I am assuming......
There is a button on the spedometer box that you can press to "reset" =
this. I think it is a 60k mile thing. The button is recessed a bit and =
you have to poke it with something skinny and short.
Like a key or something
The box is where the 2 halves of the speedometer cable meet, drivers =
side under hood up close to firewall.

Ok, driving home tonight my OXS light came on. My oxygen sensor is =
not currently hook up to my car (it went bad) so I'm runnnig a closed =
circuit system. It runs rich but not as rich as before. So what would =
make this light come on all the sudden? I don't know if its really =
something I need to worry about because I'm going to be putting my new =
exhaust system with a new O2 sensor in my car sometime in the next few =
