VDO vs Motometer

I had a 160mph VDO gauge cluster in my 16V '86 Scirocco. As typical my
odometer had stopped working. I switched it with a used Motometer gauge
cluster I purchased. Nothing else changed. My Speedometer is now reading
about 10 to 15 mph higher than before. It is worse toward 80 mph than at 20
or 30 mph. Anyone have any ideas?
