I wish I could hate my 77

Ok, I had to replace the leads running to/from the radiator fan switch
today what with the connectors fairly coroded. So I sourced the wiring from
the fuse box to the fan, to the fan switch, and installing a heavier gauge
ground from the switch to the four prong ground connector. Since I was doing
that I also aded a few ground leads; a 10ga from the alternator to battery,
and a 12ga from each ground connector behind the headlights to the battery.
All that was long overdue, but the improvement showed up in the headlights
when I turned the car on; halogens are now white compared to the yellow they
were last week. All spade connectors were cleaned with Lectro-motive spray
and either a wire brush or steel wool where possible, then smeared with
dilectric grease.
Back to the fan wiring, I installed the harness then ran the car to make
sure it worked. After letting it run while I cleaned up a bit, I checked it
over and with the temp gauge at 3/4 to hot I noticed the fan wasn't doing
anything so I checked the connections again, still nothing. Last thing I did
was to install a jumpe lead to the wires to the switch and TADAAA!, fan on!
Looks like I'm going for a fan switch next week now.

Rant off
