My 1.8 had 268 000 kms on it, and the engine was okay, just the crank key=
way
was gone (yeah, I know that's a big deal). As for clutches, the old diese=

Jetta went 380 000kms on the factory clutch, it expired shortly after the=
 kid
started driving it...that engine's still kicking ( with the factory turbo=
),
but that's not a fair comparison, diesels refuse to die. CV's? Nah, we ea=
t
through those.
