OT: I'm putting my other VW at a school car show(plus Rocco Question)

At my school there is going to be a car show on the
5th of April and I decided that I would enter my
Quantum in it(it was free for me to enter so I did so
anyways)  So far I am the only VW and I had to
register it in catorgories so I put it in Nicest
engine(Audi staright 5 so maybe can get something for
that) and uglist since there is a lack of apperication
for older model VWs at school and even though the body
is clean, the average American car person can see it
as ugly.  I'll try to take pics of the Quantum.

My Rocco question is I snaped my E-brake cable today
and I read over the Bently about changing the cable,
but I would have to remove the rear brake.  How would
I remove the brake with what kind of tools and is it
safe enought just to put the car in gear and lift the
car up to check the cable
