what would it take to fit 225/50/14?



If he was buying tires new, a shorter tire would be preferable for the
gearing advantage, but he has a chance to get these tires for cheap just
to have a set to start out with.  225/50/14 is just 3 mm taller than
185/60/14.  The concern is getting the width to work out, but he only
plans to lower the car 1".  

I say go for it.  If they don't work for some reason, sell the tires to
me.  That's the size I need for my autox car.  :-)
