Review: US H4 Eurolite Conversion Kit

2 others that can comment on this are myself and Jan Folkston. Jan picked up a set (someone
other than hella, dont remember who), at cincy this year. As for myself i got the true hella 4x6
assemblies as i wanted the reiger back to its 'original' looks as far as lighting goes. I wouldnt
have gotten the 4x6's unless i could find the hellas.
I put these assemblies in last week. These assemblies had never been altered for city lights. I
didnt have much of a problem with it since the rieger didnt have city lights back in 95 either. I
swapped over my h4 bulbs from the old assemblies, and despite the fact that the lenses/reflectors
are in better shape, they do seem to light the road a bit less than the euro lenses. The intensity
is a bit lower due to the large 180 degree dome between the light and the lens, forcing the light
emission to be purely reflective. Since the reflectors/lenses are only 6" wide, you dont get as much
of a light 'sweep' across the road. the smaller reflector must work to get more of the light
directly in front as opposed to the sides.
I will probably put in some 100/130 h4's from patricks source overseas. With some luck they wont
melt the hella housings.
