Teach me how to Tap n Die

There are two types of taps. One for through metal and one for bolt threads
likle you need. this is the square bottomed tap.
If the threads are bad, you'll need to match the threads per inch with the
next size up and use a bolt of that size. If the threads just need cleaning
then get one to match the bolt size.
Use plenty of machine oil when you turn the tap. Only a 1/4 turn at a time,
then reverce it out a 1/4 turn to break the shard free. The oil cools as
well as lubricates so don't be stingy.

Good luck,

Julie
