custom radiator/intake system (was: "Scirocco-style" drag-racingradiators?)

Neal, FYI I'm probably going to have a radiator custom-made for my Scirocco.
This so that I can bring in cold air through the grill and over the radiator
to feed my hungry throttlebodies. I'll build an air box that opens to the
grill and feeds directly to the velocity stacks. Somewhere in between there
will be an air filter. I'll use the bottom of the hood as the top of the air
box with rubber material (like the stuff running along the rain tray) to
keep everything nice and sealed.

Anyway, the reason why I bring this up in the first place is because I've
found a custom radiator specialist in my area who can turn this sort of job
around for very agressive prices. They've been in business for forty years,
have numerous patents for their technology, and do beautiful work. My custom
radiator will probably cost around $250. If what you need is a standard
size, the price would be lesss. Let me know if I can be of assistance to you
with this effort.

P.S. Larry, have you any ability to determine what the dimensions of my air
intake system should be? I think I've got a fair amount of lattitude as far
as the radiator design is concerned. The folks just want to know the shape
and area taken up by the intake so that they can build around it. Their
radiators are more reportedly more efficient than the stock item so frontal
area can be smaller.
