Josh Able: puny fuel injectors



josh, dont get steamed about those questions scottie is askin ya, we're actually lookin our for ya,
because honeslty, eurospeed should have put bigger injectors in there. i think they are cutting a
dangerous corner with your ride (and money). you have near-0 margin to leanness when running wide
open. the slighest injector clog/fuel pressure dip/etc will quickly lead to blowing holes in
pistons/ring lands. using bigger injectors doesnt make it run rich, since the map (if properly
programmed) would just keep the injector open for a shorter duration.

also, look at this chart (half way down the page), granted its DSM specific, it will give you an
idea of what those guys do for injectors:

also keep in mind that stock dsm inejctors are in the high 300cc range. the factory fits those cars
with near 400cc injectors and they are only rated for 200 hp.
