Shift linkages

I have to agree with Josh. I drove Scotty's car (at high rates of speed,
btw) and the shift was very tight, indeed. The usual slop and vague feeling
was replaced by a remarkably unremarkable directness. Or, in English, what I
mean is that the set up simply worked with no quirks or whatever! Why didn't
the factory do it that way? :^)
