'85 keeps stalling

I would check
a) throttle body screw if an o-ring is present.
b) adjust the idle using the above mentioned screw
c) check the air entry plate clearance, (the bowl) I have a hard time
figuring it out, and after I check it, it was off setting, and after I reset
it  ran smooth, a little sluggish at TDC, but after setting advance at +2'
it now purrs and runs very nicely.
