Car Seats (again)

Yeah...but the Scirocco enthusiast would love to be able to use this one
http://www.dmartstores.com/komrid40gtbo.html (click pic for specs) Now if
only all of us had shoulder belts to be able to use it :(
(Use only with the vehicles lap and shoulder belt system when restraining
the child in this booster seat), but the most immpressive part being (Made
with a high impact styrene core, cushions impact better than hard plastic -
no metal parts) Looks to be built on the same platform as their GTX model
that weighs in at only 2.5 lbs! (Made of high tech/high impact polystyrene
that cushions impat better than hard plastic. It's the same material used
inside bicycle helmets. Plastic car seats weigh up to 14lbs. and can become
a 420lbs. projectile in a 30 mph impact. Ours weighs only 2.5lbs) Wow if you
could use this Car Seat you could shave 11.5lbs off your Rocco. Not that I
recommend aggressive driving with children in your car but if this were a
safe seat to use it would be a natural for use in a Scirocco do to it's
light weight. On a serious note I too am currently looking for a booster
seat that works with lap belts, is SAFE, looks nice (not necessarily in that
order) and one that eliminates the fear of my daughter's foot going through
the back of the passenger seat which she's approaching now with our current
car seat, also now I have a huge rip in rear headliner from the current full
size car seat being lifted up to get her out, note that this is a 1976 MK1.
